Former MoD police officer denies fraud
1:00pm Sunday 29th January 2012
A former policeman has denied fraudulently claiming almost £30,000 in housing benefit.
Adam Guerin, 54, of The Common, Broughton Gifford, appeared at North West Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday, charged with false accounting.
Guerin, a former Ministry of Defence policeman, is accused of stealing £28,640 in police housing allowance between 1995 and 2011, by claiming money on a house that he did not own.
He is due to appear before magistrates again on March 19, when the case will be committed for a trial at crown court.
